I am very pleased that I chose to participate in the New Orleans, Louisiana Alternative Break Trip. It was an eye- opening experience to be able to serve the community in a variety of aspects including a horse rescue ranch, community garden, school library, and a food pantry. This trip reminded me that people are grateful for help no matter how large or small. Throughout the trip I realized that people have a strong passion and dedication for what they do. This includes the 16 CSU students, the Camp Restore staff, and the facilities visited in NOLA.
